Market launch of a product innovation

We supported the introduction of a product innovation in the field of home entertainment by providing multi-country, multi-year project management.

Initial situation and objectives

  • A product innovation for the home entertainment sector that had already been successfully launched in other markets of the company was also launched in the German market. Due to the complexity of the overall project and a necessary adaptation to the German market, cross-border project management was necessary.

Approach

  • In order to ensure a timely market launch as well as business and operational readiness, a detailed project plan was drawn up for the two-year analysis, implementation and launch phase. An integration into the already existing IT and network landscape as well as an integration of the product innovation into the existing business processes was also carried out. In addition to comprehensive conflict and escalation management, a dedicated preparation and support of the operative rollout phase including field tests and launch coordination was also carried out.

Results

  • Through effective project progress controlling and close coordination with the overall European programme, the product innovation for the home entertainment sector was introduced to the German market on schedule and fulfilled the expectations of the customers within a very short time.
